OVERVIEW
The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Theology is a two years graduate degree in theological disciplines and is designed for those seeking ordination for ministry in a church, denomination, or parachurch organization. Students for this degree must complete course work in systematic theology, biblical theology, ethics, homiletics, counseling, Christian ministry, etc. The programme critically examines life and faith through the study of scriptures, theological traditions and historical contexts. Designed to produce a well-rounded pastor and preacher, the programme offers the same training as the Master of Divinity—preparing you to handle God’s Word precisely and shepherd God’s people effectively.
PROGRAMME DURATION
The programme is designed to be completed in 24 months, when a full load is taken. However, students have up to five years to complete it.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
The requirements for a pass in the B.Sc. in Theology class are:
- Regular attendance on class lectures.
- Completion and timeous submission of all course work.
- Sitting any end of semester examinations
- Fulfil at least 72 credit hours;
- Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 or higher over all forms of assessment.
